We are excited to announce that Mr. Shamus Strapp will be teaching our American Founding and Civics I course next school year. Mr. Strapp has his undergraduate degree in economics with a minor in biblical studies from Cedarville University. He has been involved in ministry and various teaching capacities for a decade. His passion is to guide students into a deeper knowledge of God’s Word and a greater maturity in their faith, while also showing students how to receive the rich heritage of our nation's founding with gratitude.
This course will meet once a week and use the Hillsdale 1776 curriculum to guide our students through a study of our nation’s founding documents and governmental structure. Our students will learn the history of the United States; commit to memory some of the key writings from our founding fathers, while also learning some of the underlying philosophies of those men.
